The History of The Rotary Club of Ogden


The Rotary Club of Ogden was founded in 1918. The Rotary Club of Ogden is among the oldest and largest Rotary Clubs in Utah.  The Rotary Club of Ogden meets each Wednesday at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center on Washington Boulevard from noon to 1:00 PM.  Rotary was established in 1905 in Chicago and locally began in 1911 in Salt Lake City.   Clubs are non-political, nonreligious and open to all cultures, races and creeds.   Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary's global membership is approximately 1.2 million men and women who belong to more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Rotary members volunteer their time and talent to further the Rotary motto, "Service above self."
